Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Portlet

Provides a portlet based GIS browser.

The GISportlets is a set of gridsphere portlets that interface to the GIS mapping software Mapserver. It provides intuitive navigation, including zoom-to buttons, directional arrows, and rubberband features. The control mechanism for layers is presented in a directory structure that can be customized on the fly. If your Mapserver data is contained in a PostGIS database then other features are available to you, including point identification, querying, and map layer annotation.

Basic Requirements: Mapserver v4.6.1, GridSphere

Recommended: PostGIS Database
